Suzanne Johnson, Ph.D., Vice President of Consumer R&D, Named 86th President of Flavor Extract Manufacturers Association (FEMA)

McCormick & Company is pleased to congratulate Suzanne Johnson, Ph.D., Vice President of Consumer R&D, for being named the 86th President of Flavor Extract Manufacturers Association (FEMA). Suzanne is the seventh McCormick employee and the third woman to serve as President of FEMA. 

Founded in 1909, FEMA is the national association of the U.S. flavor industry. Since its inception, FEMA has played an important role in the development of the flavor industry—protecting consumer interests as well as the business concerns of its members through a strategic focus on science, advocacy, communication, global relations, education, and training.

In her newly appointed role, Suzanne is dedicated to increasing FEMA's contribution to the growth of the flavor industry while continuing to build on the strong foundation of science and regulatory.  As part of her mission is to secure FEMA's status as the indispensable trade association for the flavor industry, her goal is to revitalize and expand FEMA's outreach and education programs which will aid in the development of the next generation of talent in the field of flavor.
