ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

McCormick & Company, Incorporated (“McCormick”) is committed to conducting business in a manner that protects, preserves, and supports the resilience of the environment.

I. Policy Scope

This policy defines McCormick’s environmental principles, governance, and operational commitments to embed environmental stewardship. This policy applies to all McCormick-owned and operated facilities, offices, and distribution centers worldwide. In coordination with related policies, it covers contractors, suppliers, and partners whose activities may influence the environment through sourcing, production, packaging, or transportation of McCormick products.

 

II. Core Commitments

McCormick recognizes that environmental protection and sustainable resource use are integral to long-term business success. We commit to:

  • Complying with all applicable environmental laws, regulations, and international standards.
  • Engaging and consulting with relevant stakeholders on environmental matters.
  • Incorporating environmental factors into strategic planning, risk management, and business decision-making.
  • Setting measurable environmental objectives and targets, aligned with science-based and industry best practices
  • Monitoring and reporting environmental performance transparently.
  • Continuously improving environmental sustainability programs to enhance performance and resilience.

III. Governance

Environmental performance is overseen through McCormick’s Purpose-Led-Performance governance structure, which can be found herewith defined roles and responsibilities across management.

 

IV. Reporting and Transparency

McCormick tracks year-over-year data to demonstrate its ongoing efforts to drive sustainable impact. McCormick has applied the following reporting frameworks: Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and CDP, as reported in our Annual Disclosures.

VI. Review

This Policy will be reviewed periodically and updated as necessary in response to regulatory, operational, strategic, or stakeholder developments.
